Nilanka Seneviratne
, PartnersGlobal
Nilanka_pic.jpg
Nilanka grew up in Columbia, SC except for one year of middle school in Sri Lanka. After college he returned to Sri Lanka to volunteer with the local NGO, the Sarvodaya Shramadana Movement.

Shortly after graduating with an MPA from George Washington University, he joined PartnersGlobal becoming the first DC-based employee after the organization moved from its original offices in San Francisco in 2007. At that time he worked closely with PartnersGlobal’s founder Raymond Shonholtz to grow that two-person office to ~30 person organization that it is today.
Nilanka has worn many hats within PartnersGlobal, but his current role entails overseeing human resources, serving as the organization’s grants officer, and managing the overall operations. Informally, Nilanka serves as the organization’s historian and continues to maintain strong relationships with all the Partners Network members throughout the world.

In college Nilanka worked as a radio DJ; and, prior to working at PartnersGlobal he has held a variety of jobs, from shelving books to selling rugs. Along the way Nilanka has compiled a library of useless information so should you ever need to know what actor has only appeared in movies that got nominated for best picture he’s your guy.

, Catholic Relief Services
Sergey_2018_200x200.jpg
His journey to the relief & development work started when he was 11, an eyewitness of the destructive Spitak’88 earthquake in Armenia that seized more than 25,000 human lives. He was part of the reconstruction of the disaster zone and a beneficiary of humanitarian aid. Inspired by the power of giving and kindness in response to the immediate need in rebuilding communities, he began volunteering, and later, working for humanitarian relief agencies. He is with CRS since 2001 and has been privileged to be part of CRS missions in Europe, Middle East, Southern Africa, Central Asia, and now worldwide, based at CRS headquarters in Baltimore.

Sergey is an economist with extensive experience in accounting, financial management, operations, supply chain, general management and governance.

Currently, Sergey and his team are providing strategic direction and oversight to CRS’ global compliance systems, and managing global risk & compliance programs/portfolios, and implementation of compliance & risk strategy for overseas operations.

His challenge for the past few years is to balance risk mitigation with efficiency for operational excellence through continuous improvement with the focus on culture, people, strategy, and performance.

Sergey is a strong advocate of communal learning and collaboration and is privileged to be part of Humentum’s Government Relations Committee and various communities on Humentum Connect.
