    On Monday, August 31st at 8:00am ET, USAID invites you to participate in a webinar to discuss the implementation of Section 889 of the John S. McCain National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year (FY) 2019.

    USAID is also in the process of developing a series of frequently asked questions related to Section 889. We will share the resource with you once it has been finalized.

    Finally, the Agency has a time-limited and context specific waiver limited to contracting for communications and internet services that would normally be prohibited under Section 889(a)(1)(B). You can learn more about the waiver by visiting USAID's Implementing Partner Notice Portal for Acquisition and Assistance.
