    Hello everyone,

    Humentum is continuing to monitor the situation in Ethiopia and know that many of you are doing so as well. In response, we will offer a space for discussion, community, and challenge/solution sharing on Monday, November 15 from 11am ET – 12pm ET.

    These are the areas of concern that have already been brought up:

    • Salary payment / cash payment
    • Communication methods if internet/phone are shut down
    • Safety protocols / staff check-ins
    • Expats / repatriation
    • Business contingency
    • Support local staff (particularly those most vulnerable)

    Thank you to everyone that joined the discussion yesterday. 

    There were a lot of helpful points raised alongside next steps and areas of concern. I've uploaded notes from the discussion as well as the list of participants that are available for continued discussion/collaboration in responses. 

    Additionally - @Tamar Renaud is leading a discussion/response focused on Tigray, so if you are not included in the list of interested people here, please reach out to her to be included.

    Humentum will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates and spaces for discussion for our members as needed. If you have any follow up questions or suggestions, please let us know.
