Hi All
As you know FCDO launched last week and DFID is now formally closed. I attach here the letter they sent to all suppliers on 2 Sep 2020.

And to hear that FCDO announced that Save the Children can restart applying for new UK aid funding: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/save-the-children-uk-can-bid-for-government-funding-again-after-improving-safeguarding-standards
I met with Juliet Chua yesterday who is the new CFO of FCDO and who is one of 2 of the new senior appointees of FCDO that came from DFID (out of 7). As you may remember, I have been meeting with her and senior DFID staff for the last 6 months and it is encouraging that these meetings have restarted now with FCDO. I am waiting for notes of that meeting and will post about it next week.
I am sorry for my radio silence here on Connect in the last month or so. I have tried to share key DFID-related developments on social media but things started happening so fast I was worried I would overwhelm you if I posted everything here. If you have questions about FCDO and the merger, the ongoing cutting process or the upcoming spending review - please post them as replies to this thread and I will try and answer them with what I post next week.
Tim
PS I also posted this in the DFID community, which we now need to rename
