Are you seeking to make your work more locally led? Join us to learn more about tools available to support USAID partners and Missions advance locally led development in your work, how you might apply them, and how you can contribute to strengthening them.
The session will feature introductory remarks from Adam Phillips, the Director of the LFT Hub and the Center for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, and begin with an introduction to how USAID is conceptualizing locally led development. We will then hear from Oxfam America and Save the Children teams on their development of the Local Engagement Assessment Framework (LEAF) tool, and applications of and learning from the LEAF to date.
USAID staff will present the Locally Led Development Checklist, a pause-and-reflect tool based on the LEAF and designed to be used by USAID Mission teams and implementing partners. Prisma, a local research partner in Armenia, will share their experience piloting the Checklist and lessons learned. While the Checklist tool is already being used by USAID Missions, the LFT Hub is eager for others in the USAID community, including implementing partners, to engage with the tool and provide feedback to ensure it is useful to all those working to make their work more locally led.
We look forward to hearing your questions and feedback!
