    Dear Members:
    I write to gauge interest in and extend an invitation to a new Humentum locally-led development policy working group. The purpose of the working group will be to develop recommendations for donor policies and procedures that foster locally-led development, as well as craft responses to draft/proposed policies as they are rolled-out by the donor community. USAID, for instance, is in the process of crafting a variety of new procurement, Acquisition and Assistance (A&A) Strategy revisions, and locally-led policies that will reshape the development landscape in the years to come. Much of this will be rolled-out in the coming few months. 

    If you are interested in joining a group of your peers to discuss the revisions and reforms needed to achieve locally-led development targets at USAID and generally, please email me by no later than COB May 2, 2022, at cynthia.smith@humentum.org. If there is sufficient interest to form the working group, we will convene virtually in the coming few weeks and as practical thereafter. Stay tuned!
