    One year after the launch of the Local Capacity Strengthening (LCS) Policy, USAID will host the first annual Learning and Feedback Forum, to take place virtually over six days between Tuesday, October 10, 2023 and Thursday, October 19, 2023.

    Forum Objectives

    Objective 1: Share USAID's progress on the Local Capacity Strengthening Policy implementation, reviewing available tools, resources, sector implementation guidance, and evidence with all stakeholders.

    Objective 2: Establish a platform for USAID, local actors, and partners to have constructive and transparent discussions about the implementation of the Local Capacity Strengthening Policy and its priorities for the coming year.

    Objective 3: Support mutual learning around technical advancements in Local Capacity Strengthening through the collection, dissemination, and sharing of evidence and innovative practices.

    The Forum will help inform the direction of LCS Policy implementation for the coming year and consists of 11 virtual one-hour sessions that are open to the public and USAID staff. Looking at the sessions they are a mix of sector focused technical discussions, local listening session and broader panel plenaries.     These are public event so please share this information wide with colleagues and implementing partners that might be interested. In particular, there are several local partner listening sessions that are designed to be constructive and transparent policy implementation discussions where local partners can share their candid feedback. There are three different local listening sessions on October 10 at 11:00 p.m. ET, October 12 at 7:00 a.m. ET and 12:00 p.m ET
